Martha  was raised in the San Bernardino  Mountains  in Southern California, where  nature and animals were part of her everyday life.    She moved to Alaska's "Last Frontier'' 32 years ago with  her husband and two small children. They have lived in the Matanuska Valley since.

She loves Alaska, the grand  landscapes, wildlife and history.  She feels blessed to be living in such a beautiful state.  Art has always been part of her life, from crafting to sculpting  in clay. She has been painting for the last three  years and finds watercolors has captured  her.

She paints what she loves and it comes from the heart to touch others.  Painting is an exciting adventure, a never ending expression of color and light.    She plans to work many years to achieve "Artistic Excellence", and spread this Joy to others thru  her artwork.

Besides working in her studio, she has found  "Plein Air Painting", the joy of painting in the open air. Summer days you will find her in a flower  garden or painting the beautiful Alaskan landscape.
