Hi Folks,                         3/5/2019
The following is all the info on the dinner for the bird fundraiser. It shows where tickets can be purchased and time and place etc.

Jim has several upcoming appointments and it would probably be best if everyone interested gets their own tickets at the places they are available.

Hi Folks,                         3/3/2019

Those of us who painted glasses for the Wild Bird Fundraiser might be interested to know that tickets are now available.

Jim Leach has tickets available for the
Wild Bird fund raiser (painted glasses) on March 30th.
( Prime rib w/ all the “ fixin’s, for $20 per person.)

If you are interested in purchasing tickets let me know through email or messenger.  We are looking for an accurate count of those who would like to go.  I think it would be a great evening out and kind of fun to see how well the glasses we painted do.

So if there are any takers out there give me a heads up and let's have a night of good eating and fun.

Hello Members,                                                                          2/18/2019   8:26am

Last week I met with Sam Dinges who is managing the Palmer Museum of History and Art.  There are a couple of opportunities coming up that our members can have access to in the coming months ahead.

1.  The Art and Garden Fair is scheduled for the 2nd Saturday in July.  Right now there are 4 spots available at $42.50. This is half off the regular price for our members only.  When you pay mention you are a VFAA member to receive your discount.

You must fill out an application and drop payment off at the museum as soon as possible.  Applications may be found at the museum website or filled out when you turn your payment in.

  https://www.palmermuseum.org

You may consider sharing a booth with a fellow member but remember its first come first serve and you should act soon!

2.  The 2nd opportunity is new to us this year and it involves Friday Flings in Palmer.

Sam would like to have interested artists sign up to display their work on a wall reserved for your work inside the museum.  Each persons display will hang for one week and the artist is required to be in attendance for a 2 hour period on the Friday your display begins.  You may set up a demo area if you'd like or just be there to speak to folks about your work.  Again all the info you need along with an application can be found on the website:

https://www.palmermuseum.org/artist-of-the-week

There is no charge for this opportunity.  But you must sign up for your week and turn in your paperwork.

As a reminder Friday Flings include tourists and locals and is a high traffic area for viewers.

Check out the website for complete instructions and jump on the bandwagon.  Let me say it's a great space and a good opportunity.

Sincerely,

Terry

Hello fellow artists        2/12/2019 6:13pm

Sending out a reminder to all that this Friday we welcome Nancy Angelini, who will be presenting a paint along to those who are in attendance.   Nancy tells me she is going to set up a still life and work in oils.  She says you can paint along using any medium you are comfortable with.  The painting will begin at 3:00. Nancy has been a member of VFAA for many years and owns Angelini studio.  She has traveled far and wide constantly presenting and learning ways to grow in her art.  She's an award-winning artist and looks forward to encouraging growth and skill to fellow members of VFAA.  It promises to be a great meeting, so plan to join us this Friday February 15th, Room 212 at MatSu College.  Hope to see you there!

If you know of any members who are not receiving informational emails please refer them to our website where emails are posted:  Valleyfineartsassociation.org
